Residents voice concerns to Commission

Residents along Nelson Road voiced their concerns over road conditions to members of the Escambia County Commission on March 10.
Commissioner Todd Williamson, who represents the residents in the Nelson Road area, said the road was at the top of his list for paving, but had been denied for grant funding.
County Engineer Bill Bridges assured Nelson and other residents attending Monday’s meeting that the road will continue to receive as much maintenance as possible until the problem can be resolved.

The shelter serves residents of Escambia County by providing support and safe shelter when needed
In precincts where 2,400 or more voters are registered to vote, two ballot counters will be placed in that location.
County Administrator Tony Sanks said many of the polling locations already have two ballot counters in place to alleviate long lines on election days.
