Tigers shut out PCI Red 11-0
Coby Smith, Tristan McAnnally, Tanner Smith and Scott Brantley combined for four hits and 11 runs to lead the Atmore Rotary Club Tigers to an 11-0 shutout over Audio Plus sponsored PCI Red Monday evening in Cal Ripken Major League play.
Each of the foursome finished the evening with a single. Coby Smith and McAnnally scored four runs each, Brantley crossed the plate twice and Tanner Smith scored once.
Trey McGhee was the only player on PCI Red with a hit; a single in the fourth inning.
Athletics 15
PCI Gold 6
The First National Bank &Trust Athletics cashed in on numerous walked batters and stolen bases to runaway with a 15-6 victory over PCI Gold sponsored by Huskey Printing Monday evening.
Will Cooper displayed his speed and base running with a triple in the second inning to lead the A’s. Garrett Kirk added a double, while J.P. Sawyer finished with two singles and Malek McMillan added one single.
PCI Gold also capitalized on five walks in the last inning, scoring all six of its runs. Bo Ramer led the team with a double.
Zackery Hines, Rickey Reed, D.J. Carter, Drake McGhee, Cameron Murphy and Chelsey Ramer each scored a run for PCI Gold.
PCI Red 23
Cardinals 0
Tristan Montgomery and Kyler McGlotheren combined for six hits and eight runs to pace PCI Red to a lofty 23-0 win over the Atmore Lions Club Cardinals on May 2.
Montgomery led the way for PCI Red with a double, two singles and four runs scored. McGlotheren added three singles and scored four runs.
Trey McGhee also had a good night at the plate for PCI Red hitting two singles and accounting for two runs. Casey Jackson, Brice McGhee and Troy Ross each chipped in with a single. McGhee and Ross each scored two runs, while Jackson crossed the plate once.
Alex Rice led the Cards with a double.
Warriors 9
Athletics 0
In the battle of the banks, the United Bank Warriors shut out the First National Bank &Trust Athletics 9-0 on May 2.
Hunter Sherouse led the Warriors with a double. Malcom Black and Brett Helton each chipped in with one single and one run scored.
J.P. Sawyer and Garrett Kirk led the A’s with a single each.
Tigers 10
PCI Gold 0
The Rotary Club Tigers made quick work of PCI Gold on May 1 claiming a 10-0 shutout victory in four innings.
Tanner Smith led the Tigers going 2-for-3 at the dish with a double, single and two runs scored. Jimmy Overstreet added a double for the Tigers, while Coby Smith and Matthew Quimby chipped in with one single each.
Drake McGhee’s double led PCI Gold.
Canes 9
Rangers 0
The trip from Flomaton wasn’t a wasted one for the Canes as they shutout the Atmore VFW Rangers 9-0 on May 1.
Jonathan Griffis led the Canes with a single and one run scored. Newt Lambeth was the winning pitcher for Flomaton with nine strikeouts.
The Rangers managed only three base runners all night. Tyler Sanspree and Darrin Landis each reached base after being hit by pitches and Cameron Macks reached first on a walk.

The Flomaton Canes put on a hitting clinic for the First National Bank &Trust Athletics on April 29 outscoring the home team 15-1 in a four-inning contest.
Nick Shivers led the Canes with a two hit performance, a double and a single. He scored one run. Trey Weekes chipped in with a single. Bryant Lane scored three runs.
Ladarrien Johnson scored the Athletics’ only run on a pass ball after being walked in the third inning to lead the team.

Rangers 4
Tristan McAnnally hit two singles, reached base on a walk and scored three runs to lead the Atmore Rotary Club Tigers to a 13-4 win over the Atmore VFW Rangers on April 29.
Coby Smith chipped in with a single and three runs scored for the Tigers and Reggie Tolbert had one hit and scored two runs. Tanner Smith and Matthew Quimby added one single each.
Bo Bishop led the Rangers as he legged out a triple and scored one run. Arri Torres chipped in with a double and scored once.
