Kidd leads Sox in win

Devon Robinson slapped a single in the bottom of the sixth inning driving in Ryan Johnson for the winning run to give the Alto Products White Sox a narrow 9-8 victory over the Atmore Vision Center Cardinals Monday night in Cal Ripken Minor League action.
Derrik Kidd led the White Sox going a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, two singles and a run scored. Justin Johnson also had a good night at the dish legging out a triple and double. He scored three runs.
Ryan Johnson chipped in with a double and single.
Maleek Salter led the Cards with a homerun and two runs scored. Gayton Thames and Jackson Brekenridge added one single each.
Braves 5
Lions 2
The Swift Supply Lions committed eight errors in a 5-2 loss to the Chuck Stevens Chevrolet Braves Monday night.
Weston Millsead, Tra Lucus and Brantly Geck led the Braves charge with one single each.
Jamaya Frye and David Dobson each led the Lions with a double. Tyler Wilson and Tyderian Sims both had one single.

Cardinals 3
Brantley Geck finished with two hits to lead the Chuck Stevens Chevrolet Braves to a 4-3 win over the Atmore Vision Center Cardinals on May 1.
Jared Gibbs added a single for the Braves and Noah Brooks and Tra Lucas scored one run a piece.
Eric McCaskill finished a homerun short of the cycle, leading the Cardinals with a triple, double and single. Maleek Salter and Gayton Thames each added two hits for the Cards. Salter slapped a double and single and Thames hit two singles.
White Sox 7
Poarch 5
Marion Lee’s home run and single fueled the Alto Products White Sox’s offense on May 1 leading the team to a 7-5 victory over the Poarch team, sponsored by Ray Ward Construction.
Devon Robinson chipped in with a double for the Sox, while Jarret Nelson, Derrik Kidd and Caleb Gregson each finished the night with one single each.
Xan McGhee led Poarch with a homerun, double and one run scored. Kolby Flurnoy and Thunder Jackson each hit one single and scored one run.
Lions 14
Poarch 0
The Swift Supply Lions swung some heavy lumber on April 29 shutting out Poarch 14-0 in Minor League action.
David Dobson paced the Lions’ powerful offensive attack slapping a homerun and single, while accounting for two runs. Eric Williams also finished the evening with a homer and scored two runs.
Thomas Boothe also had a two-hit performance with two singles and two runs scored, while teammates Tyler Wilson and Jamaya Frye each hit doubles. Christian Thorpe and Lashawn Robinson each had one single.
Cardinals 9
White Sox 5
The Atmore Vision Center Cardinals flew past the Alto Products White Sox 9-5 on April 29.
Brad Quimby and Evan Tatum led the Cardinals with two hit performances, both hitting a double and single. Gayton Thames flexed his muscles for the Cards hitting a home run in the second inning.
Derrick Arnold, Adrian King and Nathan Surjevch both chipped in with a single each for the Cardinals.
Devon Robinson, Fred Flavors, Marlon Lee and Justin Johnson each finished with a single to lead the White Sox.
White Sox 3
Lions 1
Devon Robinson, Fredrick Flavors and Marlon Lee combined for three hits and three runs to give the Alto Products White Sox just enough offense to fend off the Swift Supply Lions, 3-1, on April 28.
Lee led the way with a double and one run scored and Robinson and Flavors each finished with a single and one run scored.
Derrick Kidd and Justin Johnson chipped in with a single a piece for the White Sox.
Jamaya Frye led the Lions with two singles on two plate appearances. Chris Hollinger and Eric Williams each added a single.
Cardinals 5
Braves 1
The Atmore Vision Center Cardinals soared past the Chuck Stevens Chevrolet Braves on April 28 in Cal Ripken Minor League action coming away with a 5-1 victory.
Brad Quimby flexed his muscles in the fifth inning with a two-run home run to seal the deal for the Cards.
Maleek Salter led the Cardinals at the plate going 3-for-3 with three singles and one run scored. Evan Tatum chipped in with two singles and Brandon Cummings added a double.
Jared Gibbs led the Braves with two singles and Tra Lucus scored the team’s only point following a single.
