Librarian thanks Atmore supporters
Dear Friends of the Atmore Public Library,
Thank you so much for the tremendous support you have given your library again this year. You made it possible to provide software for the blind, a projector for the children’s department and matching funds for a Strengthening Youth and Family grant that will purchase computers and reading/math software for elementary students. Your contributions will provide entertainers for our upcoming Summer Reading program. The total attendance throughout the entire six programs last year was 681. These children checked out 2,981 books over the six-week period!!!
A big thank you to board members: Sherry Digmon, Magaline Marshall, Bess Maxwell, Mary Grissett, Myrna Monroe, Julie Johnson, Joanne Moore and Sandra Hiebert. These ladies mailed approximately 500 letters to individuals and businesses.
If you did not receive an invitation and would like to contribute to the Friends, please call 368-5234 and we will mail you information on how you can become a member of this wonderful group.

Junior Auxiliary raffle a success
The American Legion Junior Auxiliary would like to thank everyone who bought raffle tickets on the red, white and blue afghan that were sold to enable more of our girls to go to Junior Leadership Camp this summer. We really appreciate every one of you. Mrs.Pat Duffie of Mobile was visiting her granddaughters at the meeting on May 1st and drew the winning ticket. The winner of the afghan was Christopher Stanley.
