Smith no-hits Flomaton Canes

Tanner Smith tossed a no-hitter Thursday night to help the Atmore Rotary Club Tigers put another “W” in the win column with a 4-0 shutout over the Flomaton Canes.
Smith, who went the distance, struck out 12 of the 21 batters faced, allowed no hits and walked two batters.
Coby Smith and Matthew Quimby led the Tigers’ offense with one single each. Quimby scored two runs and Smith scored once.
Warriors 14
Cardinals 4
The United Bank Warriors defeated the Atmore Lions Club Cardinals in a four-inning game shortened by the 10-run rule Thursday night, 14-4.
Billy Powell legged out a triple and scored three runs and Nate Smith and Dyquan Lee both slapped doubles and scored twice to lead the Warriors to victory. Hunter Sherouse and Malcolm Black chipped in with one single apiece.
Devonte Dailey, Jadarius Brown and Dakota Goins each led the Cards with one single and one run scored.
PCI Red 7
Rangers 2
PCI Red, sponsored by Audio Plus, took advantage of numerous walks and fielding errors to down the Atmore VFW Rangers 7-2 on May 6.
Tristan Montgomery led PCI Red with a triple and two runs scored, while Trey McGhee chipped in with a single and one run.
D’Andrez McCarthy and Bo Bishop both slapped doubles to lead the Rangers. McCarthy also scored one run. Gage White added one single.
Warriors 9
PCI Gold 2
In an error filled contest, the United Bank Warriors pulled out yet another win on May 2 with a 9-2 victory over PCI Gold, sponsored by Huskey Printing.
Aaron McDonald led the Warriors with a double and one run scored. Brett Helton and Dalton Daniels both reached base on errors and walks scoring three runs each.
Todd Wall led PCI Gold with a double and one run scored.
