Atmore-based MMA group Team Titan has been working hard to make a name for themselves the last several months.
Team Titan attended Beatdown III in Hattiesburg, Miss. on May 3 where two of its members competed in events.
Shapard Marks, 28, of Atmore and Kevin Emmons, 22, of Nokomis fought for Fight Force International and Bomber Promotions in the competition.
Emmons fought Shiloh Pisarich of Todd Pisarich's Gracie Barra Academy of Ocean Springs, Miss. where he was victorious. Emmons won his fight by split decision against a very skilled opponent.
Marks lost to a very tough John Harris of Dixon's Dungeon of Biloxi, Miss.
FFI is the largest promoters on the gulf coast, according to Jernigan.
Ricky Derouen Founder and CEO of Fight Force International said he was happy with Team Titan’s performance, Jernigan said. Derouen also said he would like for Team Titan to be a part of his three upcoming events. The events will take place in Orange Beach and Biloxi.
Team Titan’s Craig Helton, Patrick Boone Pat Maloney and Marks recently competed in the North American Grappling Association's tournament in Alpharetta, Ga. Boone, 27, of Byrneville Fla. and Maloney, 26, of Walnut Hill, Fla. competed for their first time since joining the team last year.
