Braves whip Poarch 11-1

The Chuck Stevens Chevrolet Braves showed its horsepower on May 22 with an 11-1 win over Poarch in Cal Ripken Minor League action.
First baseman Brantley Geck went a perfect 4-for-4 at the dish with two home runs, two singles and scored four runs. Jaquerious Williams and Jared Gibbs each finished with two singles and two runs scored. Tra Lucas legged out a triple and scored twice and Jamel Richerson hit a double and scored once. Weston Milstead and Dee Dee Poole each hit a single.
Tyler Sells and Dakota Rolin scored one run apiece for Poarch.
White Sox 11
Lions 8
Marlon Lee legged out a triple, slapped a double and scored two runs to lead the Alto Products White Sox to an 11-8 win over the Swift Supply Lions on May 22.
Ryan Johnson also finished the night with two hits, also legging out a triple, hitting a single and scoring two runs. Fredrick Flavors also had a two-hit performance with two singles.
Eric Williams led the Lions with two home runs, a double and three runs scored. Christian Thorpe chipped in with two singles and one run scored, while Lashawn Robinson and Kuron Frye added a single apiece.
Cardinals 12
Lions 4
The Atmore Vision Center Cardinals’ offense saw the ball well on May 20 defeating the Lions 12-4.
Brandon Cummings led the way for the Cards slapping a home run, a double and scoring two runs. Adrian King finished the night 2-for-3 with a double, single and scored one run. Gayton Thames and Brad Quimby both had two singles. Quimby scored three runs and Thames crossed home plate twice.
Eric Williams had a home run, single and scored two runs to lead the Lions. Jamaya Frye also finished with two hits, a triple and a single.
Braves 16
Poarch 0
It only took one inning for the Chuck Stevens Braves to show Poarch, sponsored by Ray Ward Construction, what they were made of on May 20 as they handed them a 16-0 shutout.
Jamal Richerson led the Braves with a home run, double and two runs scored. Jaquerious Williams added two singles and two runs scored. Tra Lucas and Ladarian Willis each legged out a triple and Weston Milstead and Brantley Geck hit doubles.
White Sox 9
Braves 5
The Alto Products White Sox’s offense pounded out 11 hits and scored nine runs as they defeated the Chuck Stevens Chevrolet Braves 9-5 on May 19.
Third baseman Ryan Johnson led the way for the Sox batting 3-for-4 with two doubles, a single and two runs scored. Shortstop Devon Robinson also went 3-for-4 at the dish with three singles and two run scored.
Fredrick Flavors chipped in with a double, single and two runs scored, while Justin Johnson legged out a triple and scored one run. Rashaun Flavors and Johnny Stephens each chipped in with a single and one run scored.
Weston Milstead led the Braves with a double, single and scored one run. Jamal Richerson added a triple and a run scored for the Braves and Dee Dee Poole chipped in with a double.
Lions 10
Poarch 3
The Swift Supply Lions displayed their consistency at the plate to outscore Poarch 10-3 on May 19.
David Dobson led the way for the Lions with two singles and two runs scored. Christian Thorpe also finished with two hits, each a single. Jamaya Frye added a double and one run scored and Eric Williams finished the game with a single and three runs scored. Justin Walden and Tyler Wilson also finished with one single each. Walden scored two runs and Wilson scored once.
Xan McGhee led Poarch’s offense with two singles. Tyler Jackson and Tyler Sells each finished with a single and one run scored. Wyatt Rutherford scored the third run for Poarch
Cardinals 9

The Atmore Vision Center Cardinals capitalized on several errors to slip past the Chuck Stevens Chevrolet Braves, 9-7, on May 17.
Derrick Arnold paced the Cards’ offense with a triple and a single. Brad Quimby also legged out a triple and Evan Tatum slapped a double and scored two runs. Adrian King and Jackson Brekenridge each contributed with a single. Gayton Thames scored three runs.
Noah Brooks pounded the ball for the Braves as he scored on three home runs, two of which were on errors. Jamal Richerson added two singles for the Braves, while Dee Dee Poole, Brantley Geck and Ladarian Willis chipped in with one single each. Poole and Geck scored one run apiece.

Infielders Fredrick Flavors, Devon Robinson, Ryan Johnson and Dakota Boatwright combined for 12 hits and seven runs to lead the Alto Products White Sox to a 9-6 victory over Poarch on May 17.
Robinson led the way going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with four singles and three runs scored. Johnson had a three-hit performance slapping three doubles and scoring one run. Boatwright also finished with three singles and one run scored, while Flavors had two singles and scored one run.
Jarrett Nelson chipped in with a double and scored one run. Marlon Lee, Justin Johnson and Rashawn Flavors added one single each.
Xan McGhee was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle as he finished with a triple, double, single and two runs scored. Tyler Sells also finished the day with three hits pounding out three singles and scoring two runs.
Braves 7

The Chuck Stevens Chevrolet Braves squeaked past the Swift Supply Lions 7-5 on May 17.
Jamal Richerson paced the Braves’ offense with a triple, single and two runs scored. Derrian Abrums chipped in with two singles.
Thomas Boothe led the Lions with a double and a single. David Dobson, Justin Walden and Jamaya Frye finished the day with one single each. Walden and Frye also scored one run apiece.
Cardinals 8
Poarch 1
Brad Quimby, Brandon Cummings and Maleek Salter each finished the day 2-for-3 to lead the Atmore Vision Center Cardinals to an 8-1 win over Poarch on May 17.
Cummings led the trio as he legged out a triple, slapped a double and scored twice. Salter followed closely, hitting two doubles and Quimby finished with two singles and scored two runs. Eric McCaskill chipped in with a triple.
Tyler Jackson and Xan McGhee led Poarch with one single each.
Braves 7
Lions 6
The Chuck Stevens Chevrolet Braves won a close 7-6 contest over the Swift Supply Lions on May 15.
Outfielder Ladarian Willis led the way for the Braves hitting a game-winning home run in the bottom of the sixth to give his team the win. Willis also hit a single in the bottom of the second inning.
Jaquerias Williams, Dee Dee Poole and Noah Brook each finished with one double. Poole scored three runs and Brook scored twice.
Jamaya Frye led the Lions going 3-for-3 at the dish with a double and two singles.
Cardinals 13
White Sox 9
In an offensive battle on May 15, the Atmore Vision Center Cardinals out hit the Alto Products White Sox winning 13-9.
Maleek Salter finished a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate to lead the Cards. Salter finished the day with four singles and three runs scored.
Brad Quimby, Brandon Cummings, Evan Tatum and Adrian King all had three-hit performances. Quimby and Tatum both finished with a double, a single and two runs scored. Quimby and King both finished with two singles. Quimby scored twice and Tatum scored once.
Ryan Johnson led the White Sox with a home run, double, a single and two runs scored. Devon Robinson chipped in with a double, single and scored one run. Fredrick Flavors added two singles and two runs, while Rashawn Flavors chipped in with a triple and scored once.
