Floyd M. “Bud” Drummond
COLLINSVILLE, Ill. - Floyd M. “Bud” Drummond, 82, of Collinsville, Ill. died Wednesday, June 4, 2008.
He was a retired electrical engineer having worked for NASA, Scott Air Force Base and McDonnell Douglas. He was involved with the onset of NASA being one of the first engineers hired and he worked directly with Dr. Wernher Von Braun. He was a longtime active member of the Episcopalian Faith, Faith in Action volunteer, WWII and Korean War navy veteran. He was a college graduate of Missouri School of Mines in Rolla, Mo. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and a friend of many.
His father and mother, George and Lena Drummond, and a sister, Leona Slusher preceded him in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Cleta (Cherry) Drummond of Collinsville, Ill.; two sons, John (Melinda) Drummond of Smyrna, Ga. and Mont Drummond of Athens; three daughters, Robbie Drummond of Atmore, Beverly (Bob) Jones of Collinsville, Ill. and Shelly (Ron) Dickerson of Huntsville; six grandchildren, Dottie “Bunny” Jones of Charlotte, N.C., Kevin Drummond of Savannah, Ga., Wes Jones of St. Elmo, Ill., Carly Drummond of Atlanta, Ga., Jake Dickerson of Huntsville and Luke Dickerson of Huntsville and two sister-in-laws, Anita (Byron) Davis of Collinsville, Ill. and Gayle Tegtmeier of Collinsville, Ill. and his buddy, Cody.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2008 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caseyville. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, June 8, 2008 at Herr Funeral Home.

MOBILE - Mrs. Emma Edwards, 95, of Mobile died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Kindred Healthcare Center in Mobile.
Christian Memorial Funeral Home of Atmore in charge of arrangements.
