Ryan Johnson led the way for the Alto Product White Sox going 2-for-3 with two runs in the Cal Ripken Minor Championship on June 6.
The White Sox defeated the Atmore Vision Center Cardinals 7-4.
While Johnson’s efforts helped push the White Sox to a win, he could not have done it without the rest of his team.
Devon Robinson and Rashawn Flavors combined for three hits and three runs in the victory.
Johnny Stephens and Justin Johnson also had two hits each, and both made it around the base path one time to bring the White Sox total to seven.
While it was a loss, the Cardinals put up a valiant effort with four hard earned runs in the fight for the title.
The Cardinals four runs were provided courtesy of three key players.
Gayton Thames scored two runs while notching two singles in the contest.
Brandon Cummings and Maleek Salter scored one run apiece for the Cardinals, but the White Sox proved to be too tough to tame.
