Atmore native Jason Morris packed the Whistle Stop Grill last Thursday night for the restaurants’ first offering of live entertainment.
The event went so well, owner DeeDra Kelley invited Morris back for an encore this Thursday night beginning at 7 p.m.
Kelley said she decided to offer live music to give back to her customers that have been supportive of her restaurant.
Morris, 33, is a 1993 graduate of Escambia County High School. He currently lives in Daphne and is part of the band P.O.M. He used to play guitar for Big Yellow Mama.
Last week’s performance at the Whistle Stop Grill wasn’t Morris’ first live performance in his hometown. In May, he performed on stage at the Creek Casino.
Morris plays a variety of music from the 60s on up to today’s hits.
Kelley said she was not opposed to having weekly musical entertainment, but will play it by hear.
