Local and state officials worked Thursday afternoon to clean up an 18-wheeler accident that occurred on the entrance ramp to Interstate 65 that caused some delays to passing motorists.
According to officials at the scene, the 18-wheeler’s trailer flipped on its side after its load shifted entering the on ramp to Interstate 65 south. The truck, which was owned by DJ’s Enterprises out of Elberta, was not damaged in the accident, but the trailer suffered severe damage after the large piece of metal shifted, snapping the hitch of the trailer and destroying numerous pieces of the trailers wood bedding.
An Alabama State Trooper and a deputy with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office reported to the scene.
There were no injuries reported in the accident.
