Dirt will be flying this weekend when the Atmore Motocross (MX) Park Summer Sizzler kicks off on Saturday with the features running on Sunday.
Atmore MX Park owner Bobby Hadley said a total of 66 races would be run at the track featuring dirt bikes and quads.
Race day will begin with a special morning service performed for any riders who would like to attend church.
Hadley said that the service will be provided by Racers for Christ with the MX chaplain leading.
Registration and organized practices begin on Saturday morning when the track opens, according to Hadley.
He added that more than half of the racers do not participate in the scheduled practice.
Riders making long journeys can stay at the MX Park the night before the event starts.
Hadley said the camping area opens Friday afternoon and riders that are registering on Saturday can stay on the campgrounds.
Classes are divided up by age starting with Pee Wee and ending with the Veterans class, according to Hadley.
Hadley added that the classes are also composed by the different bike sizes.
Awards will be given for first through fifth places and Hadley said that there would also be some other prizes given away.
He added that only registered riders can enter for the prizes.
Entry to the Summer Sizzler is $10 and any local youth or sports groups are also offered free park entry.
