The Poarch Band of Creek Indians held their annual Fourth of July fireworks show Friday night at PCI’s Rodeo Arena.
Special assistant to the Tribal administrator, Lisa Milliken, said the event was successful.
Jacob Byrd, Kim McGhee and the Community Choir entertained the crowd prior to the fireworks show.
Festivities began at 8 p.m. There was a short musical presentation along with a veteran’s salute.
Milliken said despite the rain that fell Friday evening, there was a great crowd at the event.
The Poarch Band of Creek Indians have held the Fourth of July fireworks event for at least five years, according to Milliken.
Next year’s Fourth of July holiday will fall on a Saturday.
