Subject: Memorial to military veterans killed in recent wars.
First we thank you for your support, patience and finances while we have been investigating and accumulating information in regards to this project. We have eliminated scores of possibilities and now feel that we are only a few weeks from deciding on our recommendations of all the major portions of the display. Then come the details of the identification of all and each person qualified to be honored. Next the determination of the amount of money we need and finally the actual construction. As for the money, we have in safe keeping all you have contributed less what we spent on foundation engineering and architectural design. We will put on an organized money raising effort in the late summer.
