Muskogee Metalworks hosted a celebration event Tuesday in honor of receiving its AS9100 certification.
General manager Mal McGhee spoke about the milestones the company has reached.
AS9100 is in place to ensure customer requirements are met.
McGhee said the opportunities for Muskogee Metalworks will hopefully increase with the standards the company has reached. The goals have been reached because of the hard work of the company’s employees, he said.
Henry Burdg with Auburn University presented McGhee with an AS9100 flag for display.
Burdg said receiving AS9100 certification is a “passport to compete in the world market.”
McGhee also said the Poarch Creek Indians owned company recently became a Boeing Quality Management System Approved Supplier.
Inspector Patrick Still presented McGhee with a letter that welcomes Muskogee Metalworks into the Boeing Approved Supplier list.
