Escambia Academy will hold a skeet shoot on Aug. 22 and 23 at the Oxbow Hunting Club in Baldwin County.
A practice will be held on Aug. 22 with the competition-taking place on the next day.
Thomas Miller said the competition will be open to the public on the 23rd, but not for the practice.
The entry fee for each team is $500 and includes some furnished supplies and a free lunch for all team members.
Miller said that the lunch will be offered to the public, but they are not able to receive it for free.
Each team is only allowed four players and the maximum number of teams allowed is 50.
There will be standard highhouse and low house eight station ranges at the event and the National Skeet Shooting Association rules under Event Six will be followed.
Miller said there will also be competitions for the public to enter including an 800-yard rifle shot and the archery flu-flu shoot.
A flu-flu shot is a vertical shot over an obstacle and lands on the target that is laid out on the other side, according to Miller.
He added that door prizes and a silent auction will be held as well.
There will also be a fishing pond and skeet shooting for anyone who wants to bring their own rod and reels or gun to the skeet shoot.
The competition starts at 10 a.m. and runs until it is completed.
