ATMORE – William Carrson "Bill" Blackburn, 89, of Atmore died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008 in Atmore.
He was a Correction Officer with the State of Alabama, born in Monroe County on June 26, 1919 to the late Mace S. and Rissie Colbert Blackburn.
His wife, Juanita Francis Blackburn and a son, Bobby Lester Blackburn, preceded him in death.
Survivors include a grandson, Bobby Lance Blackburn of Walnut Hill, Fla.
Services were held Friday, Sept. 5, 2008 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Randolph officiating. Interment followed in Popular Springs Cemetery in Uriah. Family received friends from 1 p.m. until service time.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.
