ATMORE – C.Y. Rolin, 86, of Atmore, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008 in Atmore.
He was a retired farmer, born in Escambia County on June 13, 1922 to the late Henry and Josephine McGhee Rolin. He was a member of Poarch Baptist Church.
His brother, Archie Roland and a sister, Louise Rolin McNeal, preceded him in death.
Survivors include, three nephews, Tommy Roland, Billy Roland and Jimmy Roland all of Augusta, Ga.; one niece, Velma Layfield of Blountstown, Fla. and a special family the Jack Dempsey Rolin Family.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008 from the Poarch Baptist Church with the Rev. William Bubba Rolin and the Rev. Leo Luker officiating. Interment will follow in the New Home Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. today until the service time at the Poarch Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Randal Rolin, Nathan Dortch, Ronnie Rolin, Dempsey Rolin, Ronald Rolin and Mitchell Rolin. Honorary pallbearers will be, Timmy Ramer, Don Rolin, Billy Joe Rolin, Robert Moye, Jeromy Odom and Melvin Rolin.
