Nettie Lou Lilley

ENON – Mrs. Nettie Lou Lilley, 88, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008 in Monroeville.
Lilley was a native of Excel, a resident of Enon, a former welder at a Mobile shipyard, a retired employee from Vanity Fair Mills after 22 years and attended the Enon Baptist Church. Her husband, William Henry “Bill” Lilley; her parents, George Cobb and Lula Bell Powell Hughes and an infant brother, preceded her in death.
Survivors include, three daughters; Peggy Ann and James Petty of Enon, Mary Ellen and Melvin Harrelson, Enon and Carol Elaine and Clifford Chavies of Chrysler; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Collie Rae “Bo” Hughes of Cantonment, Fla.; a sister, Marguree Womack of Atmore and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Sept. 12, 2008 at the Enon Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Gibson officiating. Burial followed at Enon Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Visitation was held Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Jason Chavies, Eric Harrelson, Timmie Petty, Scotty Petty, Mike Petty and Jessie Woods.
