METAIRIE, La. - Mr. Bryan Keith Rutherford, 43, passed away on Friday, Sept. 12, 2008 in Metairie, La.
Mr. Rutherford was a native of Atmore, former resident of Pensacola and Lafayette, La. and resident of Foley. He was a certified mechanic, carpet and floor covering, tugboat, fisherman and he also loved his family, sports, band and children. His grandparents, Arthur and Jewell Bell of Moyeville, C.W. and Mattie Rutherford of Atmore, nephew Anthony Wayne Rutherford of Pensacola and step-father Al Lowery preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Jewell “Lucy” Lowry of Foley; two brothers, Chester Wayne Rutherford (Robin) of Molino and Randal C. Rutherford (Sandy) of Milton; two sisters, Cathy Booth (Gary) of Pensacola and Debbie Rutherford of Milton and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas L. Pitman officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Dennis Bell, Artie Bell, Ronald Holt, Kenny Stanger and Randal Rutherford. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Moyeville Baptist Church and Cemetery. Petty Funeral Homes, LLC. (Eastside Chapel) was in charge of arrangements.
