ATMORE - Roy George “PaPa” Lea of Atmore died Friday, Sept. 12, 2008 in Atmore. He was retired from the maintenance department at Bartlesville High School. He was born in Bartlesville, Okla., on Jan. 2, 1924 to the late Lloyd and Josephine Yearout Lea.
His wife, Larverle H. Lea; on son, Buster Lea and one daughter, Sandy Lea preceded him in death.
Survivors are two sons, Jimmy Millikan and wife, Karen of Huxford and Wayne Millikan and wife, Dee of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Nancy Heathcock and husband, Jack of State Line, Miss. and Irma Corbell and husband, Mike of Seabrook, Texas; two brothers, Bob Lea and Jack Lea both of Okla.; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Thurl Pearson and Bro. Jack Heathcock officiating. Internment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2008 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home. Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. of Atmore in charge of all arrangements.
