The Poarch Creek Indians Environmental Department is hosting its household hazardous waste collection this Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Poarch Police Station.
The collection is a free service being provided to all residents of the surrounding area and is only for households. Large quanties from businesses, farms or commercial operations are prohibited.
This is to utilize the opportunity to keep these hazardous materials away from the waterways and natural environment.
Paint, automobile batteries, motor oil, antifreeze, household cleaners, household chemicals, pesticides, flammables, corrosives and electronic wastes are accepted.
