ATMORE – Claude Alvin Bouler, 79, of Atmore died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008 in Mexia. He was retired from Alabama Power as a service supervisor for 42 years, born in Dyas on Feb. 18, 1929 to the late William N. and Pearl Smith Bouler.
His daughter-in-law, Patsy Bouler, preceded him in death.
Survivors include, his wife of 60 years, Thelma Bouler of Atmore; two sons, Mike Bouler of Atmore and Al Ronnie Bouler and wife, Martha, of Mobile; two sisters, Alene Cowart and husband, Cornelia, of Victoria, Texas and Margaret Seals and husband, Merlin, of Atmore; four granddaughters, Kelli Nettles of Monroeville, Samantha Ray of Nashville, Tenn., Angela Fernandez and husband, Johnny, of Miami, Fla. and Renee Fondren of Mobile; four grandsons, Jason Bouler and Mike Bouler and wife, Ashley, all of Atmore, Kyle Hadley and wife, Tonya, of Monroeville and Mark Hadley and wife, Jeannie, of Bay Minette; eight great granddaughters, eight great grandsons and a very dear friend, Dr. Thomas Lane, of Monroeville.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008 from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Grindle and the Rev. James Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in Serenity Gardens in Atmore.
Active pallbearers will be Hubert Brown, Ellie Bailey, Earl Bryant, John James, Raymond Kimmons, Audrey Till and Jack Darby. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandsons and the deacons and Sunday School Class of Brooks Memorial Baptist Church.
Family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
