Atmore resident Albert Jackson celebrated his 105th birthday on Sept. 17 at the Atmore SAIL Center. Jackson is one the nation’s oldest living veterans. He began serving in the U.S. Army during the 1920s in the cavalry. In attendance at Jackson’s party were family, friends and Atmore mayor Howard Shell.
