CENTURY, Fla. - Mrs. Velma Marie Perkins, 77, passed away Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008 in Century, Fla.
Mrs. Perkins was a native of Concord, N.C., a resident of Atmore for the past 36 years and was dearly loved by her family. She was the daughter of Velma and Zerry Potts of Flomaton and attended the Baptist Church.
Survivors include, her husband, John Perkins of Atmore; two sons, Lane and Vernie Mosley of Henderson, Tenn. and Brady Lee Mosley of Century, Fla.; a stepson; John T. and Jean Perkins of Northport; four daughters, Rosenna and Ray Smith of Columbia, S.C., Enola and Dan Godwin of Byrneville, Fla., Amy Mosley and Cyril Lenell Welch of Foschee and Myra and Joe Reid of Byrneville; two stepdaughters, JoAnne and Larry Bonds of Atmore and Janice and Tommy Byrne of Atmore; 19 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her brother, John Robert and Clara Potts of Jackson, Tenn. and her beloved dogs, Barna and Rufus.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 28, 2008 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Keese officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2008 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
