MOBILE - Sister Fannie Ellen Carter Green, known as Fannie or Lue Ella, was born on March 16, 1960 in Bay Minette to the late Annie Louise Green and Zeno Green, Sr.
Adopted parents are Willis Carter and Helen Green Carter of Mobile. She was a member of the Big Star Church of God in Christ. She attended Blount High School and graduated from Cedar Grove Academy in Mobile.
On Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 she was taken into eternity with three late brothers, Nicolas Green of Bay Minette, Nathaniel Robert Carter and Daniel George Carter, both of Mobile and one sister, Lizzie Ann (Cleve) Faulkner of Bay Minette.
She leaves to cherish a very special and devoted friend, Virgil Hollings of Bromley; one daughter, Sherece Shantel Carter Green; three sons, Henry Hopkins, Nathan Roberson, Jr. and Jerald Christopher Lee Robinson all of Mobile; three grandchildren, Mictavious Wanya Green, Omarion Damarco Williams and Dakyla Diane Atchison all of Mobile; seven sisters, Annie Louise Crum of Montrose, Helen Diane (Melvin) Johnson of Mobile, Patricia Green, Sandra Green, Waretta (Steven Adams) Green, Zena Simon, Sharon (Joseph) McCall all of Bay Minette, Christine Wright, Juliaetta Wright and Ann Wright all of Mobile; three brothers, Zeno (Janice) Green, Jr., Andrew James (Ethal) Green, and Earnet Green all of Bay Minette, Henry Wright, Tom Clemons and Johnnie Clemons all of Mobile; seven aunts, Mary Etta Mims, Commie Lee Crook and Eliza Crook all of Bay Minette, Eddie Lee Johnson of Mobile, Edith Crook and Catherine Rogers of Grand Bay and Mary Kay Huggins; one uncle, Freddie (Delouise) Crook of Los Angeles, Cal.; special nephews, Bruce Faulkner, Patrick Faulkner, Barry Thomas, Zeno Green III and Cornelius Thomas all of Bay Minette and Hurbert Crum (Popi) of Montrose; special nieces, Crystal Faulkner and Tiffany Green, both of Bay Minette and Ashlee (Goldmine) Johnson of Mobile; a host of nieces and nephews; very special friends, Yancena Rowser of Mobile and Alma Michele Williams of Bromley and two special children, Joseph William (J.J.) and Joseph Williams (Jo Jo) of Bromley.
Special thanks to the third floor staff of USA Hospital in Mobile.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. at William Street Holiness Church in Mobile on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008. Rev. Roy Powell officiated. Interment was held at Sunrise Memorial Garden. Pallbearers were relatives and friends and flower bearers were nieces, friends and ushers.
Final Arrangements entrusted to Christian Memorial Funeral Home, 78 Harris St., Atmore.
