The Atmore Area Christian Care Ministry (AACCM) held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Banquet at First United Methodist Church Thursday night.
The banquet is held every year to honor volunteers associated with Christian Care Ministry.
Rev. Monroe Tucker, chairman of the AACCM board, said it is held to thank the volunteers for all of the hard work they contribute.
Christian Care Ministry performs several charitable acts around the area including food donation among other things.
Tucker said CCM does its best to help anyone who might be in need of some kind of assistance.
The AACCM also recognized its secretary Julia Harris who is also the secretary at First Baptist Church of Atmore.
Harris is leaving the AACCM to move to Pensacola.
Tucker said the organization just wanted to thank Harris for the time she spent with the ministry.
