The Strand Theater has been chosen for the fourth annual Atmore Historical Society’s Christmas Ornament.
AHS member Hattie Maxwell said after announcing the featured location of the ornament, AHS member Bonnie Latino began receiving phone calls about the many memories made there.
Maxwell said one woman ordered seven ornaments because her parents met there.
The AHS tries to select places for the ornament that will be both historic and meaningful.
