The Northview Lady Chiefs have hit the hardwood and started preparing for the 2008-09 basketball season, which starts Tuesday.
The Lady Chiefs return three starters and four seniors to this year’s squad.
Head coach Obreonne Parker said the team is looking strong and have experience as well as chemistry on their side.
The team’s strengths and weaknesses fall on each side of the court.
Parker said the strength of the Lady Chiefs is their defense and their weakness is their ability to hit the easy buckets.
The team has not one leader, but several leaders that are going to be looked at during the season, according to Parker.
Parker said her every member of the team is looked at as a leader in some aspect.
The Lady Chiefs first game is Tuesday at Central High School.
