Atmore We Care Program held a banquet Nov. 7 at Brooks Memorial Fellowship Hall.
David Landis, president of We Care, said the banquet was held not only as a fundraiser, but to raise awareness of the program.
The program is a prison-chaplaincy service that ministers to 12 prisons in Alabama, two in Ohio and one in Florida.
Approximately 25 full and part-time chaplains work for the program.
At the banquet, two former inmates, Mike Fields and Tavis Jenkins, shared their stories of involvement with We Care.
We Care also introduced its newest endeavor, Timothy House, at the event.
Timothy House is a transition home that We Care is opening for parolees.
