ATMORE – Mary Joan Hayden, 77, of Atmore died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008 in Atmore.
Mrs. Hayden was a retired teacher with Escambia County High School, born in Memphis, Tenn. on Oct. 18, 1931 to the late Amon and Alma Coons Ray.
Her husband, Carl Mills Hayden, preceded her in death.
Survivors include, a daughter, Sherilyn McKinley of Atmore; three grandchildren, Brandy Hughes and husband Stacy of Echo, Jillian McKinley of Dothan and Alana Booth of Atmore and three great granddaughters, Blake Hughes and Alex Hughes, both of Echo and Bailey Booth of Atmore.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2008 from Johnson Quimby-Funeral Home with the Rev. Arnold Hendrix officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday evening, Dec. 11, 2008 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
