Fannie Merle Ellis

ATMORE - Mrs. Fannie Merle Ellis, 65, of Atmore passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Ellis was a native of Evergreen and had resided in Atmore for the past 38 years, but lived in Brewton for the past several months. She worked at Vanity Fair Clothing Mills and was a member of the Walnut Hill Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include, sons, Kevin Lowery of Goodway and Monte (Jennifer) Lowery of Atmore; daughter, Melissa (Ricky) Hudson of Tuscaloosa; brother, Joe (Kay) Ross of Flomaton; sister, Lucy (Phillip) Pettis of East Brewton and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Theron Collinsworth and the Rev. Ray Hudson officiating. Interment followed in McCurdy Cemetery in Century, Fla. with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers were Brennen Smith, Monte Lowery, Kevin Lowery, Phillip Pettis, John Dewberry and Ricky Hudson.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008.
