PASADENA, Texas – Loving father Franklin Jackson passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17th surrounded by his children. Born in Atmore, on Jan. 4, 1937 Frank made Pasadena, Texas his home in 1967 where he raised four children. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason of the Bluelodge and a member of the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his beloved companions, Doris McKay, Lucky Boo and Flossy May; three daughters and one son, Debra Underwood and husband Terry, Donna McAdams,Pam Brooks and husband Reed and Wayne Jackson; grandchildren, Alicia Underwood, Jeremy Underwood and wife Tiffany, Kaitlynn Underwood, Jason Barfield and wife Christie, Blake Barfield, Bradley Jackson, Nathan Jackson, Ashley Brooks, Madison Brooks, Grace Brooks and Sophia Brooks; great grandchildren, Austin, Dawson and Caleigh Smith, Kaden Underwood, Katelynn and Cameron Barfield. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles Daughtry , Bennie McGhee and wife MaryBell, B.J. Carlton and Walter Lee Jackson, and sisters, Ellen Obarr and husband Joe, Emma Jane Owens and husband Alexander and Essie Lee Willkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, May Stone and Adam Daughtry, sister, Doris McGhee and brothers, Gerald Jackson and Houston Daughtry. He will be missed by many loved ones and friends. Pallbearers Jason Barfield, Jeremy Underwood, Blake Barfield, Robbie McGhee, Adam Carlton, Bubba Obarr, Alexander Owens, Glen Barington and DC Daughtry.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Dec. 20, 2008 in the Chapel of Rosewood Funeral home in Pasadena, Texas and will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home in Atmore with interment following in Judson Creek cemetery in Atmore.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Humane Society or to the Judson Creek Indian cemetery.
