ATMORE - Jesse E. Everette, Jr., of Atmore died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009 in Atmore. He was born in Monroeville on April 8, 1926 to the late Jesse E. and Georgie Mae Turberville Everette, Sr. He was retired from Thomas Busses as a Sales Manager and served his country with pride as a U.S. Marine.
His parents; one son, John Earl Everette; two brothers, Joseph P. Everette and Willard O. Everette and two sisters, Ouida E. Callendar and Bobbie Spain, precede him in death.
Survivors are one daughter, Anita Lynn Ingram; one son, Jesse Earl Everette III and wife, Diane of Atmore; three brothers, Samuel Smith Everette of Bay Minette, Grover Everette and Gordon Everette, both of Atmore; one sister, Alma E. Miles of Atmore; four grandchildren, Leighanne Everette, John Everette, both of Atmore, Monette Mulkey and Michael Mulkey, both of Salt Lake City, Utah and many other relatives and friends.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Boyd and Bro. Ted Clayton officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations were asked to be made to the Brooks Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund. Family received friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
