ATMORE - Mr. William Anthony “Bill” Banonse, 62, passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2009 in Atmore. Mr. Banonse was a native of Sheboygan, Wis. and a resident of Atmore for the past 15 years. He was a former employee of Brantley’s Tire Company and Atmore Tire and Retreading and attended the St. Roberts Bellarmine Catholic Church.
Survivors include his special friend, Brenda Pace of Atmore; a sister, Marlene Johnston of Frisco, TX.; two nieces, Cheryl Scaglione of Dallas, TX. and Laura Pratt of Pearson Ga. and a sister-in-law, Lois Godwin of Davisville, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, 2009 at the St. Roberts Bellarmine Catholic Church with Rev. Father Gordon Milsted officiating.
Burial will follow at McCurdy Cemetery with Petty Funeral Homes, LLC., directing.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan.18, 2009 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Joel Lambert, Jason Mims, Boyd Sigafoose, John Dorriety, Clark Wooten and Quinton Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Freddie Godwin, Preston Chunn and Mac Baker.
