Officials with the Escambia County Sheriffs Office are issuing a word of caution to senior citizens in the county.
The card being received by senior citizens in the area outlines an offer of up to $10,000 to help cover funeral expenses.
In the fine print located at the bottom of the card, a disclaimer is printed saying the offer is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency.
Lambert said the cards are addressed to return to a service center in Texas, which is also questionable.
