The Escambia County Blue Devils and Lady Blue Devils basketball teams are preparing for their area tournaments, which will determine if their seasons continue for the next couple of weeks.
The Blue Devils finished second in Class 5A Area 2 behind the Vigor Wolves.
They face the Spanish Fort Toros on Friday night at 6 p.m.
Blue Devils head coach Anthony Hayes said he is excited about the area tournament and ready to see his team in action.
The Lady Blue Devils also took home a second place finish in the area, and like the boys will go up against the Lady Toros from Spanish Fort on Thursday night at 6 p.m.
Both ECHS teams split their games with the Toros and Lady Toros this season with both wins coming at ECHS.
Lady Blue Devils head coach Ray Greer said he is looking forward to the area tournament and the competition that his team will face.
If the teams win, they will advance to the finals on Monday night against whoever wins the games between the Vigor Wolves boys and girls and the Gulf Shores teams.
Hayes said this is his favorite part of the year because of all the basketball taking place.
