CASTLEBERRY - Edgar Allen “Eddie” Stringer, 35, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
Mr. Stringer was a Corrections Officer for the State of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his sister, Melinda “Mindy” Stringer and his grandparents, Agnes Pugh, Earnest Bartlett and John Edgar Stringer Sr.
Survivors include, his father, Ed Stringer of Castleberry; his mother, Peggy Stringer of Castleberry; paternal grandmother, Ollie Mae Bartlett of Castleberry; maternal grandfather, Allen Pugh of Evergreen; sister, Melissa Madden (Jeff) of Alabaster; two nieces, Falan and Farrah Madden of Alabaster; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009 at London Baptist Church in Castleberry. Interment will be held in London Baptist cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at Cope Funeral Home.
Arrangements are being made by Cope Funeral Home of Evergreen.
