FLOMATON - Mrs. Angela Diana White, 49, of Flomaton died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009 at her home.
Mrs. White was born in Chicago, Ill., but spent most of her life in the Flomaton community where she was a homemaker and member of the Flomaton First Baptist Church, the Flomaton Band Boosters and the Flomaton Quarterback Club. She also owned “Angie’s Dress Shop” in Flomaton in the 1980’s, and was an avid runner competing in numerous 5K and 10K runs as well as triathlons while finding time to be active in school activities with her children.
Survivors include, her husband, Earnest Ray White, of Flomaton; her father, Robert Burkett of Brewton; her mother, Bobbie Douglas of Brewton; sons, Earnest Ray (Laci) White II of Cherry Point, N.C. and Colton Dakota White of Flomaton; daughter, Cierra Eve White of Flomaton; brothers, Robert Burkett and Greg Douglas of Brewton and Michael Burkett of Courtland; sisters, Crystall Nall of Brewton and April Jackson of Decatur; grandchildren, Ian Drake White and Scarlet Nevaeh White; special cousins, Dennis Bondurant and Maegan Bondurant.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at Flomaton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dustin Stockhill and Dr. Jerry Keese officiating. Interment followed in Flomaton Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009 at the Flomaton First Baptist Church. Pallbearers were, Joe Paul McDavid, Dewey Bondurant Jr., Daniel Moore, Doug White, Jeff White and Justin Tullis.
