Local radio station WNSI has recently made changes to its lineup, changing the time slots for shows and adding new syndicated shows.
WNSI radio show host Lou Vickery said the changes are simply being done to better serve their listeners.
Vickery’s show “What’s Happening in Our Community?” previously aired beginning at 5 p.m. each Monday and will be moving to the same time on Tuesdays beginning this week.
Vickery said the move was due to his show taking time away from the station’s daily sports show, “Sports Table,” which airs each weekday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
The local programming airing on Thursdays is “High School Today.”
Vickery said he is excited about two new shows on the air, one hosted by Glenn Beck and the other by Dave Ramsey.
Beck’s program runs the gamut of topics and is ranked as the third most listened to radio show in America, according to his Web site.
Beck’s show airs on WNSI in Atmore five days a week from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Ramsey is a personal money management expert and best-selling author of “The Total Money Makeover,” “Financial Peace” and “More Than Enough.” In Oct. 2007 he added television host to his title with the debut of “The Dave Ramsey Show” on Fox Business Network.
Ramsey’s radio show is based on the premise that life, love and relationships all revolve around finances.
His show airs weekdays from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
Vickery is somewhat of a new host himself, having recently rejoined “The L.A. Morning Show,” which airs weekdays from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m., but doesn’t have Vickery joining in until 7 a.m., his stipulation for returning to the morning show.
WNSI airs on 105.9 FM and AM 1000.
