Units with the Atmore Police Department, Escambia County (Ala.) Sheriffs Department, Escambia County (Fla.) Sheriffs Department, Flomaton Police Department and the K-9 units from the Alabama Department of Corrections and Century Department of Corrections are searching for a man in the Canoe-Wawbeek area who is being sought for drug charges.
The unidentified male and another male were the subject of a warrant being served this morning when one of the men began evading authorities.
The manhunt began around 10:15 a.m. and is continuing into this hour with a perimeter between Arthur Hall Road and South Canoe Road.
The subject of the manhunt is also person of interest in other crimes.
