BAY MINETTE - Ms. Martha Annette Stevens-Wright, 43, of Bay Minette died on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at her residence after an extended illness.
Ms. Wright was a native of Baldwin County and graduated in Baldwin County. She had worked as a dietary supervisor at William F. Green Veteran’s home for 10 years. She was a member of the Abundant Life Christian Center in Bay Minette.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bishop Esaw Stevens.
She is survived by, two daughters, Astrid and Theresa Stevens, both of Bay Minette; three sons, Emmanuel Stevens, Andrew King and Keyshawn Wright, all of Bay Minette; her mother, Gustine Stevens; six sisters, Carol Stevens, Christine (Michael) Robinson of Bay Minette, Willie Mae Huff of Birmingham, Jean Pettaway of Coy, Betty Dortch of Pensacola, Fla. Madis Becant of Detroit, Mich.; nine brothers, Esaw (Bernadette) Stevens, Jr., Joel (Nekia) Stevens, Bobby (Anuyanna) Stevens, Peter Stevens, Travis Gray and Anthony Gray, all of Bay Minette, Paul (Torronia) Stevens of Snellville, Ga., Christopher Stevens of Tallahassee, Fla. and Frank Scott of Sacramento, Calif. and one grandson, Jayden Stevens.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March, 7, 2009 at the Abundant Life Christian Center in Bay Minette with Pastor Bruce Hooks, officiating. Interment was held in the Bethlehem Memorial Gardens in Bay Minette (Pine Grove Community) with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC directing.
