CENTURY, Fla. - Mr. James S. “Ted” Gilley, 91, passed away March 11, 2009 in Century, Fla.
James was a native of Bratt, Fla., a resident of Century, Fla. since 1926, a retired employee from St. Regis after 35 years, a veteran of WWII and attended the Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include, his wife, Jean Gilley of Williamson, Ga.; his stepson, Eddie Johnson of Atlanta, Ga.; his stepdaughter, Mary Jo Kramer of Atlanta, Ga.; three step grandchildren, Dana Ross, Alicia Kramer and Bill Levering; one brother, W. T. Gilley of Cantonment, Fla. and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Shelton Kingdig and the Rev. Ronald Broadhead officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton cemetery. Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers were, Eric Steadham, Ron Gilley, Reggie Streit, James Sutton, Bobby Franklin and Charles Steadham.
