Cougars win 4-2

Exceptional work on the mound pushed the Escambia Academy Cougars past Jackson Academy on Tuesday in Jackson.
The Cougars were led on the mound by seniors Jeff Price and Nick Mills.
Price pitched the opening four innings picking up the win before the Cougars subbed in Mills. Price did not give up any runs and sent four Jackson batters down on strikes.
Mills came in during the fifth inning and struck out six Jackson batters and giving up the only run on a balk during the fifth inning.
Offensively, the Cougars were led by Jarrett Hadley. Hadley hit 3-for-4 in the game with three singles and two runs scored in the win.
Cougars senior Jon Dean and Price each hit 2-for-3 in the win. Dean had a double, single and a run scored. Price hit two singles for EA.
Sophomore Keaton Maher went 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored for the Cougars.
Hadley, Jon Dean and Price all stole bases for the Cougars in the win.
Other Cougars to record hits in the win included Austin McGhee (1-for-3).
