BIRMINGHAM - Mr. Torian Marcell Williams, 21, of Birmingham formerly of Bay Minette died suddenly at his residence on Friday April 10, 2009.
He was a native of Bay Minette and a 2006 graduate of Baldwin County High School, where he served as a member of the Marching Band, and ambassador with the Bay Minette Chamber of Commerce and he was voted “Mr. BCHS” King in 2006. He attended Faulkner State Community College for two years where he was a member of the Science Club, the choir, and was on the Dean’s List. In pursuit of his goals in life he entered the University of Alabama - Birmingham (UAB) in September where his major was Biology. He also worked as a sales associate at Birmingham Trunks and was a member of the Bay Minette Church of God in Christ.
Those left to cherish his memories are his mother and step-father, Barbara (Floyd) Jones of Bay Minette; his father, Mitchell Williams of Pensacola, Fla.; grandparents, Sarah Steans, Myrtis and Bessie Williams, Ed and Charlotte Brown and Willie Jones, all of Bay Minette; three sisters, Felecia (Anthony) Lambert, Sharda’ Williams, both of Bay Minette and Laura Ann Jenkins of Pensacola, Fla.; five brothers, Marcus Richardson, Mitchell T. Williams and Anthony Davis, all of Bay Minette and Mitchell A. Williams of Pensacola, Fla. and Sgt. Sean Steans, Germany.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Bay Minette Church of God in Christ with Elder James Starks, pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in Mutual Aid cemetery. Public viewing will be held from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2009 and family hour will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Church.
His body will lie instate at the Church one hour prior to the Funeral service with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC directing.
