BAY MINETTE - Mrs. Anne Marie Sandberg, 95, born in County Tipperary Ireland and a resident of Bay Minette, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at Atmore Nursing Center. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Leonard W. (Edna) Sandberg Jr. of Marietta, Ga. and Jimmie A. (Patricia) Sandberg of Picayune, Miss.; one daughter, Elaine (Jerry) Brown of Atmore; two brothers, Adolph Ryan of Bay Minette and Robert Ryan of Magnolia Springs; one sister, Agnes Tripp of Bay Minette; eight grandchildren, Karen Ide, John Bonamo, Leonard Bonamo, Joey Bonamo, Lisa Cronan Baescher, James Sandberg, Scott Sandberg and Teresa Owens; 13 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard W. Sandberg Sr.; her daughter, Gloria Bonamo; her granddaughter, Casey Cronan and her brothers, John Ryan, Michael Ryan, Nicholas Ryan and Francis Ryan.
The Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2009 at the Chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. C.L. Langford officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette cemetery. The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on May 2 at the Norris Funeral Home.
