McAnally strikes out 15 in victory

The Atmore Rotary Club Tigers squeaked by the Atmore VFW Rangers Monday night with a 4-3 win in Cal Ripken Major League action.
Pitcher Tristan McAnally mowed down 15 of the 25 batters faced on strikes to pick up the win on the mound in a six-inning effort for the Tigers.
Catcher Colby Smith led the Tigers’ offensive effort with a double, single and one run scored. Reggie Tolbert finished 1-for-1 with a single.
Catcher Perry Metzler was the only one to get the best of McAnally as he finished a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate with two doubles and two runs scored to lead the Rangers. He also reached base following a walk.
Center fielder Eric Williams added a single and a run scored for the Rangers.

Athletics 2
PCI capitalized on seven bases on balls and several timely hits to capture a 13-2 win over the First National Bank &Trust Athletics Monday night in Cal Ripken Major League action.
Dakota Barlow led PCI with two hits including a home run and a single and two runs scored. Tadd Wall also finished a perfect 2-for-2 at the dish after slapping two singles. He also crossed home plate twice.
Tristan Montgomery also belted a home run and scored two runs to aid in the win. Bo Ramer and Gage White each added a double and two runs scored. Nik Shivers, Sam Ellstead, Taylor McGhee and Drake Hamilton chipped in with a one single each.
Scotty Lambert led the A’s with two singles and a run scored. Garrett Kirk scored the team’s other run.
