An elderly Atmore man was injured in a single vehicle accident Thursday afternoon when his truck rolled over at least one time at the intersection of Hwy. 31 and Nichols Ave.
According to rescue personnel at the scene, the driver of a blue, Chevrolet Custom Deluxe pick up truck apparently missed the turn onto Nichols Ave., struck a ditch and rolled his truck over knocking down the street sign. The truck came to rest back on its wheels in the parking lot of the old skating rink.
Atmore Ambulance transported the driver to Atmore Community Hospital for treatment. It is unknown the severity of his injuries.
