Through a combination of teamwork, diligence and a hunch, Marcy McAnally and her son Tristan, were able to claim the much sought after treasure in The Atmore Advance’s first ever “The Hunt.”
The prize, which treasure hunters have been seeking for 11 weeks, was found in the guardrail off of Industrial Drive early Wednesday evening.
Besides poring over the clues, which at times included the help of Google, Marcy McAnally said her husband, Tim had a feeling it was on Industrial Drive.
The Atmore Advance Publisher Adam Prestridge said the idea for “The Hunt” came from other newspapers under parent company, Boone Newspapers Inc.
Marcy McAnally said her first purchase will be a dinner out at David’s Catfish House for the entire family.
