FLOMATON - Ms. Lola Faye Washington, 76, slept away into eternal rest on Friday, June 12, 2009 at D.W. McMillan hospital.
She was a retired domestic engineer.
Her mother and father, John and Lillie Burt, preceded her in death.
Those left to cherish her memories are, three sons, Aubrey (Vanessa) Washington of Flomaton, Rayford Lamar Washington of Century, Fla., Willie James (Nina) Jones of Birmingham; eight daughters, Nyoka Barnes of Columbus, Ga., Min. Idainer Bradley of Century, Fla., Delora (Edward) Smith of Chicago, Ill., Emma (Eugene) Page of Century, Fla., Patricia (Ron) McBride of Flomaton, Lola Ruth (Dan) Robinson of Pensacola, Fla., Sandra (Tony) Fisher of Pensacola, Fla. and Sharon (Leon) White of Pensacola, Fla; 28 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Bethel AFM Church of God in Century, Fla. with the Rev. Russell Fountain, pastor officiating. Inhumation will be held in the Fanny Cemetery in Flomaton. Public viewing was held from 2 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home and her body lied instate at the Church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC of Atmore directed the services.
